The New Practice Wizard
The New Practice Wizard was created to help guide you through setting up your practice and tailoring it to suit your own individual needs.

! IMPORTANT: If you have speakers turn them on when you run the New Practice Wizard; the New Practice Wizard has audible instructions that will help guide your through the setup process!

1. To get started using the New Practice Wizard, you must first open the QuickPractice application.

2. Once you have opened QuickPractice, select New Practice Wizard from the File Menu.

3. The "Setting Up a New Practice" wizard screen will appear. Click Next.

4. The wizard will now bring you to the Practice Information screen. Fill in the appropriate information pertaining to your practice and then click Next.

6. QuickPractice will prompt you specify which directory in your computer you want to save your new practice information in. Navigate to the directory in which you  want to save your file. For example, choose C:\ProgramFiles\QuickPractice) and then click Save. QuickPractice will now place your practice database inside the directory you have chosen. Click Next.

7. The wizard will now bring you to Provider Information screen. Fill in the appropriate provider information pertaining to your practice and then click Next.

8. Click the Add button to enter additional providers. If you are finished adding new providers, or only wish to enter one provider at the time you are setting up your practice, click Next.

9. The wizard will now bring you to the Preferences screen. There are many preferences available in the QuickPractice software, however here you can choose whether or not QuickPractice prompts you to backup when you exit. You can also indicate your Starting Patient Number from this screen. If you are importing an existing patient list into QuickPractice, you may which to specify a different number than the "00001" defaulted in the New Practice Wizard. Select the preferences that are appropriate to your practice, or simply accept the default values. A more thorough explanation of these preferences can be found in the Practice Preferences section of this help menu.

10. Click Finish to complete the New Practice Wizard.


Note: All data entered in error during the New Practice Wizard can be changed at a later time in the Practice Info and Practice Preferences screens inside QuickPractice.
